Monitoring Ultrasounds

Let them blossom..Let them grow.

60-minutes

You’ll come in for three to four 15-20 minute office visits to track and monitor your egg-production cycle. We’ll also send you home with hormone injections. These short visits are meant to minimize your time in the office, so you can maximize the rest of your day.

Day 1 This is called your “baseline”
appointment.

By conducting an ultrasound and blood work, we confirm that you’re ready to begin receiving hormone injections. These hormones will give your body the push it needs to begin producing multiple eggs at once, which will begin the seven to eight-day process. Good things come to those who wait!

Day 6 A group of eggs is starting
to grow.

Now we’re rolling. By day six, we’ll have you come visit us again for another ultrasound, blood work, and to see how you and your body are doing. A hormone injection will also be done at home.

Day 8/9 Your group of eggs is usually
ready at about this time.

This will be your last visit before egg retrieval. You’ll receive a hormone injection known as a trigger shot, and we’ll retrieve your eggs within the next 35 hours. Get excited–you’re almost at the finish line!

Getting an (ultra) visual on your ovaries and follicle count is important. Check out how the egg retrieval process will happen next!

Knowledge is power. Still have questions? That’s okay--there’s a lot to know. And we’re here to help you get there.
