90-minutes

Retrieving your eggs with one 90-minute session

The procedure

For starters, the it only takes 15 minutes to retrieve your eggs. You will be given a mild anesthesia (don’t worry – it’s through an IV) and asleep during the process. From there, you’ll hang out with us in our recovery room until you’re ready to get back to your day.

Where do your eggs go?

Once removed, your eggs will be immediately placed on ice, and then transferred to a liquid nitrogen chamber. There really is nothing cooler than being ice cold.

Your wellness

Following egg retrieval, you’ll be able to get back to your daily routine. Most women are able to return to work the following day and resume their daily activities–and so will you! Some women experience discomfort following the procedure. Regardless, our staff will provide you with the TLC you need.

Following egg retrieval, your eggs will immediately be frozen using vitrification. Learn how that works on the next page.

Knowledge is power. Still have questions? That’s okay--there’s a lot to know. And we’re here to help you get there.
